I have a 2002 R1150RT and I'm considering buying a 2007 R1200RT. Would my BMW Topbox from my 2002 bike still clip into the 2007 bike?

I don't think so. I have the optional BMW trunk (28 ltr). I think that the mounting points on the luggage rack are not the same as on your RT. Different design luggage rack than your generation RT.
