The OK Monitor Saga ..... again

I DID IT!!! I finally completed the whole OK Monitor search and delivery successfully.
Last year while I was in Newfoundland, I met an elderly couple. He had a Cavalcade that they use to take rides on very often. She ended up with a lung disease that keeps her tethered to an oxygen tank in the home at this point and is slowly dying from the disease. Her wish was that he could find the part he needed for his bike so that he could fix it and they could ride again when the snow melts there this year before she dies.
So since last August, I have been looking for the part - an OK Monitor for an '86 Cavalcade. I thought I found one one time, bought it with the help of another member on this forum and sent it on. It was the wrong part. Cletus sent it back. I was promised by the seller he would send me the correct part when I returned the old part. I did. ....... He didn't. Months of trying to contact this guy to get the part OR the money back never accomplished anything. I stayed on the Suzuki mailing list and kept listing my WTB ad and finally last month someone contacted me. This time I was armed with pictures of the correct part and enough courage to demand evidence of the correct part to be sent. I paid the money and he shipped it to the elderly couple in Stephenville, Newfoundland.
Today, I got the letter from Cletus in Newfoundland telling me he received the part and had just installed it and it fits perfectly. As soon as the snow is gone and as soon as she has another good day - she will get her ride on his bike again with a portable oxygen tank.
I wish I could be there to take pictures, but my imagination will do just fine. It costs so little, relatively, to bring so much joy to others sometimes. I wish everyone could know her. Her laugh is infectious, her grammar impeccable, her strength in the midst of struggle is inspirational, and their love for each other was ncomparable. I'm the lucky one for having stumbled upon them, for having the time to sit and talk with them and for being given the chance to make a difference for them. Just thought I would share the happy ending after 8 months.
