Okay....tank off and replace both ends?
I guess I'm a little puzzled that they would only leak on the first ride, not on the second start up.
Is there something that I should be looking for in new clamps?
Thanks.

gas leak
First start up of the season...I've been busy. I rode about a mile and started to get hit with fluids of some kind. Stopped within the next mile. It was gas...seemed to be out of the injectors. Dripped for about two minutes and stopped. Just started it again to move it to the garage...no fuel leakin...

I started on a '73 60/5. It was a great bike that took me across the country with no problems. When I sold it, the guy who restored it said that the /5's were probably the least valuable or desirable. I am sure he was saying that he wished he'd gotten more out of it, but that was his take. It's prob...

There's your answer....you aren't riding enough   Seriously, it sounds like you need to take it on the road for a good long ride with another tank of fuel before you worry. 80 degrees, not so long after a tuneup shouldn't make that big of a difference. I think I need to go for a ride to te...

Depends on way more information that you have given us. What kind of riding? I see a big difference around town v. higher speed roads. Tire pressure checked? When was your last tuneup? Temperature also affects mine more than I expected...both hot and cold. It does sound a little low, but still in an...

Thanks all. I almost didn't post because some of you have such a great talent for on-ride photography. I will stay mum about the nature of my camera and let you imagine. I will tell you that surf fishing is serious business for my father and there is little time for frivolity. The ride acros...

Two week tour
My ears are still ringing from the road and I have to post my ride report. I have no pictures....don't ask what happened to my camera, but I have some stuff in my heart and head that I need to share. I started 14 July and returned today....about 3500 miles of bliss. I left PA in 42 degree fog and en...
