Okay....tank off and replace both ends?

I guess I'm a little puzzled that they would only leak on the first ride, not on the second start up.

Is there something that I should be looking for in new clamps?

First start up of the season...I've been busy. I rode about a mile and started to get hit with fluids of some kind. Stopped within the next mile. It was gas...seemed to be out of the injectors. Dripped for about two minutes and stopped. Just started it again to move it to the garage...no fuel leakin...

Twin spark on the 04 resolved "surging". ABS has volumes, both good and bad. As will be said, if you do your own service, this bike will be cheaper than most, if you don't, it will cost you as more than most. There are few recurring issues on a great bike. You won't be sorry.

They claim it's mad cow....I suspect FD failure issues that they don't want to recognize.

My 03 is non ABS but does have a warning lable on the tank.

It's a shame you had to ride that road so many times just to get good video... "I forgot to turn on the camera" sounds like something a true rider would say to get back on that stretch of road.

My odo is about 5% less than the reading I get from my GPS.

The speedo is more like 10%, but I don't mind not being ticketed.
Oddly enough on my last trip, max speed was 115 mph and there was no way I was over 90...

Really happy with my Sargent, but still get sore and 500 miles is a good day. Biking shorts, dead sheep and being in "riding shape" all help.
