gas leak
First start up of the season...I've been busy. I rode about a mile and started to get hit with fluids of some kind. Stopped within the next mile. It was gas...seemed to be out of the injectors. Dripped for about two minutes and stopped. Just started it again to move it to the garage...no fuel leaking. The quick connect recall has been done. Any ideas?

Re: gas leak
Okay....tank off and replace both ends?
I guess I'm a little puzzled that they would only leak on the first ride, not on the second start up.
Is there something that I should be looking for in new clamps?
Thanks.

Re: gas leak
It happened to me twice, both after a month of inactivity. I suspect something shrinks in air, swells when bathed with fuel. The dealer replaced the clamps with OEM crimp-type the first time, screw-type the second. That seems to have fixed the problem.

Re: gas leak
I was having issues with the my bike NOT making it to 7100 rpm and having constant pinging issues. After a few treatments of seafoam, checking the hall sensor and fiddling with the techlusion...amongst other things. I remembered that someone on the board mentioned a fuel leak.
So I replaced all the fuel lines in and out of the tank (submersible and non-submersible hose). I removed the canister and all associated hoses, including the 2 breather/overflow hoses IN the tank (like the old days when things were simple). Replaced all 12 clamps with SS FI clamps and installed those fancy QDs from beamer boneyard.
Now I have ZERO issues with pinging, and she runs like an animal out of he!!. One of the best improvements I have made, IMHO.
Subtle fuel leak? Californina add-ons? I can't be sure, but at least now, I know for sure it's cleaned up!
