Re: What IS or ARE the solution(s) to increase power engine
Thank you for your answers, but the subject of my post is a technical question , and I would like a technical answer (like few posts : thank you). But many of people give their opinion of my subject. The purpose of a subject placed on a forum is to have the answers about it, and not personal opinio...

The best way to make the bike go way way way faster... lot's and lots of track time..If you just want the bike to go faster in a straight line, which of course takes pretty much zero skill.. then buy a Japanese liter bike, or a S1000RR

Re: BMWMOA National Bloomsburg,Pa
I'm going.. Staying at Bloomsburg University.. $50.00 a night, booked it way back during the winter.. The dorm rooms are Air Conditioned.. if they weren't I'd be staying home..I feel very sorry for anyone who's camping out in 100 degree weather... also I only live about 2 hours from Bloomsburg, if i...

3M Paint Protection Film, as the previous post mentions.. The pre-cut version looks to be the ticket.

Let the bike sit in the sun for a good while to get it warmed up nicely, then slowly peel off. WD 40 with a CLOTH ( Cotton or MIcrofiber do not use paper towels they will scratch the paint) for the glue residue.

Re: More screen experimentation...
I'll just add that in my experience the "inseam spec" is pretty much irrelevant since I can have a 30" inseam and be 6' tall, someone else can have a 30"inseam and be 5'10", thses two riders would have different screen hight requirements. The spec that really matters is from...

Re: new owner first 50 miles
Welcome.. First off don't bother messing with the engine, it's not a Harley there is basically no more power to get out of the engine, and certainly not with an air filter.. if there was BMW would do it. Adding a pipe won't add an real power either just more sound and just changes the torque curve.....

Re: Worried about sudden battery death
Just replace it. Having it die at some rest stop in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday afternoon is Not a fun experience. Apart from losing the bikes key, having a battery go dead is a sure way to stop your ride.

Re: Cleaning Granite Gray?
I sure hell wouldn't use Simple Green it is WAY, WAY too strong a detergent.. Stick with a good car washing soap that has the correct Ph for automotive paints. For day to day cleaning use a light detailer like Meguiars quick detailer and a micro fiber cloth. http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_det...

Re: Exhaust
The noise issue not withstanding, there will be a loss of performance running the bike with no muffler. The engine is tuned with the muffler, usually one losses torque when running no muffler.

Re: Wet riding freaks me out
On, on ramps , especially on interstates, near truck stops, try and keep to the inside line in the rain. Big Rigs that have just filled up with diesel will fling overflow to the outside of the turn, this is also applicable to most on ramps. And as everyone has said Smooooth is the key.

Re: Rainsuit
Fwiw the BMW Comfort Shell Suit is pretty damn close. Good in any temps up to 85, waterproof, great armor and comfortable.. When it get's into the 90's I've got to switch to a BMW Airflow jacket, but I've used the Comfort Shell on road trips in the 90's and it wasn't too bad..

Re: Rainsuit
Only rain suits that are breathable are going to be Goretex or similar materials, but of course if it's 80+ degrees and you're putting on another suit over the one you're wearing you're gonna be hotter... I have a BMW ComfortShell suit which works great but it's pricey. I think a good compromise wit...
