R1200R Fusebox Recommendation
Morning All:
I am planning on adding some LED lights and re-configuring my Heated Clothing wiring. As such, what are the Groups recommendations concerning a FuseBox?

Hey Don:
Great write up! One question, do you run the PIAA lights all the time?

Re: 2nd. BMW Battery Failure
Morning Daveyator:
Thanks for the suggestion-but I checked the battery while in the bike, and once it was removed with my Fluke Multimeter, it was reading ~9 volts after being charged for 48 hours. It appears one of the 'cells' was dead. No way to resurrect that

Re: 2nd. BMW Battery Failure
Morning All: I decided to install a Braille B14115. It just dropped in, and supposedly has 360 Amps of cranking power. Dropped right in, no fin cutting and such. Bike starts right up now, We will see if I made the 'correct' decision as time goes forward. I guess the question is; do you all leave you...

Re: 2nd. BMW Battery Failure
Thanks Liam: I am contemplating the Odyssey 535-as I have read very good things about it. I really hate being stranded by the bike. As I stated this is the second battery failure since I bought the bike in Spring of 2008. I also saw another thread where someone put a 625 in, I am going to check on t...

2nd. BMW Battery Failure
Morning All: Just went out to start my 2007R12R, and gauges cycle normally-hit the Starter-and nothing. All gauges go blank! This is my second BMW battery, first one replaced during warranty in October 2009. This one has been on a Xtreme Smart Charger when not being ridden. Haven't been riding much ...

Re: Parts to replace when installing shocks, general tips?
Hello: I am attempting to replace the shocks on my R12R and am having an issue removing the nut at the top of the front shock mount. There is not much room to work. I have moved the tank back a couple of inches, and have tried holding the shaft with a T30 Key-but can not get the nut to start to spin...

Evening: When I installed mine-I found getting those started first then installing the two lower ones afterward worked. Those two top ones can be a bit of a challenge. Plan on some wiggling. Do not forget the Thread Locker

Evening Bill:
I believe they are the same part. I am just trying to track down a replacement for Chicago BMW-as they typically had the best mail-order prices. Although, getting orders filled was sometimes rather slow.

Afternoon:
Definitely sounds like a failed battery from you previous symptoms. I had a 'Sudden Battery Death'
experience about two years ago-had a 'weird' start with a reset-I would check the connections=but I believe you will find a bad battery. Regards

Re: front shock install question
Afternoon All:
As this post has morphed into the rear shock direction-what have you all done with the Rear Shock Plastic Guard? Have you replaced it with a MudSling or a Hugger. Or have you been able to put the guard on the new shock??
TIA
Chris

Does anyone have a picture of the Low Comfort Seat as I am a bit 'vertically challenged' and this may mitigate my tip-toeing.
TIA
