Pilot Road2 in the USA
I spoke to the customer service rep at Michelin today. She said that the tires will be available in September. I told her I was interested in the 170/60/17.
There are 400 of this size in a warehouse in IL, and more inventory is being built in the USA. The rep recommended placing an order with my dealer to get in line. I hung up then remembered I should of got the item code, to help my dealer put the order in. Maybe my next rear tire will be a Pilot Road 2 after all.

I'm in need of new tires too... shopped around a bit for the Pilot Road2's; sometime September is the general word about availability. I could not wait so I picked up a set of Bridgestone Battlax BT-021's from SWMoto a couple of days ago...rbmitchel wrote:I just spoke to the factory in Greenville, S.C. Tires are now on "hold" the item numbers she gave me are: for the front 12070-17--12271. for the rear 170/60-17--79767. she couldn't tell me why they were on "hold" or when they would be released.............rt

I gave my new PR2's a good test yesterday..T'was a beautiful day and Spring has sprung here a few weeks early...Waa-Hoo!..
I rode up to Mt Dandenong for a pie in the sky..and I reduced the size of my chicken strips along the way.

My new Pilot Road 2's are the best tires that I have ever had..The profile seems different or something..They feel very safe when tipped way over.

I just put a set of new Pilot Powers on my 02 and they performed flawlessly this weekend during 400 miles of VERY spirited riding in the north GA. mountains. I don't know what mileage I can expect out of them, but I always choose grip over longevity. Hopefully 4-5K out of the rear and double that from the front.
