Heated clothing---which brand is best?

I ran my gerbings liner off of the acc plug for a while, but it bothered me sticking out as far as it did. Due to having to remove the tank to get to the battery, installed a centech fuse panel and then pigtailed the gernings from it. Much nicer just having the plug end hanging out and left the acc port for other items. I would suggest getting the control unit too. If the warmsafe jacket gets nearly as warm as the gerbings, you will want to be able to turn it down. It takes a few minutes, but on long rides, I adjust the temp so it is almost neutral. I cant imagine using my jacket on constant high. Also would not want to be constantly switching it on and off.

I'm going to have to look into the Centech fuse panel, I've heard alot of references to it here on this board. I have not received my jacket liner yet from WarmnSafe but anxious to try it out. The specs I read indicate it delivers more heat than either the Widder or the Gerbing (or at least it pulls more current) they indicate it pulls a maximum of roughly 100 watts at full on. Properly designed that should translate to more available heat. We'll see.

I did have a conversation with the owner of the company thursday afternoon when I called to ask a question. Again I was impressed with him and his willingness to help. He's an avid motorcyclist.

Oh, and I did order the heat controller as well.
