Just returned from a 3k mile one week tour, multiple 600 mile days in the saddle. Parabellum Scout fairing with 20 inch screen performed extremely well keeping the turbulance and bugs off me. Used a Airhawk seat pad and not once did I need to complain about butt ache. Bike was flawless, long day Interstate cruising, rarely below 80 mph I still managed a fuel return of 48mph. One complaint I have is that my knees were very painful during the second part of what were long days...its the knee pain that would restrict my daily mileage otherwise I could have ridden a lot further.
Here is the bike all kitted out for touring somewhere in California.
After returning home and cleaning the bike, I swapped the 20 inch screen out for a short 8 inch darkened sports screen for more local rides, a lot cooler especialy for long hot summer days.
I like the fairing! Does it do anything for you other than look good and hold the windscreen? Also, how tall are you? I am wondering which height windscreen would work for me (6'0").

Works very well. Very little turbulence and if I want quiet, I can just lean forward and tuck in behind it fairly easily. (I use that position to talk on my bluetooth phone at highway speeds.)

Even with lowered pegs, I feel my knees a bit on longer trips. My solution was to bolt on some pegs to my Hepco & Becker engine guards.

They really help for those long hours on the slab. I like how they support the heel. They fold completely out of the way when not in use and can be deployed and stowed on the go with the toe of my boot.

I am about 6'-1" tall, inseam of about 34 inches and weigh about 195lbs.
My bike is arriving with a "Sport" windshield.
Tossing around many ides from Cee Bailey, to Ztechnik.
Hearing a lot about noise and wind turbulence from the Ztechnik.
Cee Bailey does not seem too bad, except I would have to buy the touring windshield from BMW before I could mount the Cee Bailey screen.
You seem to be my height.

I am 6 ft tall, 32 inch inside leg. Difficult to say what the actual fairing alone does as its not possible to use the windsecreen without it, although I can use the fairing without the windscreen ...but I would guess that its shape is helping to deflect the air around me.
With the short 8 inch screen in place I do not get much protection, it actualy feels (and looks from the c ockpit) like its naked, guessing that the aerodynamics of the fairing is pushing the air upwards into my chest, maybe as much, or more so than a stock sports screen...........with the 20 inch screen in place it deflects it up higher.
The 20 inch screen for me is definately the way to go for touring, but I have nothing else to compare it to so cannot say if its any better than a lot of the other aftermarket screens.

The Top Case. I'm pretty sure it's the BWM top case?
It only comes in 1 size, right?
...but I would guess that its shape is helping to deflect the air around me.
