This CCP fact creates opportunity. We've all read about the rider-selectable mapping available on several new bikes (GSXRs, B-King come to mind) which allow on-the-fly change of tuning to suit riding conditions or preferences. Perhaps the CCP "switch" could be accessed to do similar mapping changes for the R1150R.... not that there's much performance promise for the boxer via tricky fuel & spark tuning (e.g. Dynojet PowerCommander style), but a bit of tweaking might be useful.There is a great deal of confusion regarding the CCP. Actually the ECM in our bikes has several, burnt in, fuel maps and the different color CCP selects one of many. If you have a CCP, very carefully, pry the cap and you will see that it is a simple short between two of the posts.
