charcoal canister line

Post by phillyboy »

I noticed the other day that the line that goes to the charcoal canister has come undone. Can anyone tell me how it was connected to begin with? It doesn't look as if the abrasion sleeve is supposed to hold the ends together, maybe I'm missing some kind of rubber fitting that joins the two ends? I just had my 6000 mi. service done, as well as the brake recall and antenna ring recall. Possibly something got overlooked when they were working on it. Thanks for any input.

Check the canister. If there is a fitting with no hose on it - you've found where that one goes. My guess would be it got displaced when the antenna ring replacement was done and not noticed by the tech. The braid is for abrasion protection against the sharp edges on the bracket mount.
