Ok folks, I have a 2006 R1150 ripped from the salvage and on the stand (by itself, no bike; that is). I connected (almost) all the bells and whistles to it to start it but no workie. I have the hall signal and the injectors do fire when i crank it but no spark signal for some reasons. I didnt connect O2 sensor, oil temp and air temp sensors at all. I am under the impression that they are not necessary to start up the engine so:
1/ Can the motor be started without any of those 3 physically connected or does Motronic prevent that from happening?
2/ this model has dual spark so 3 coils in total (one dual and 2 on the plugs). Should coils be connected in series or parallel?
Thnx.

Wow- quite a project.
You definitely need the oil temp sensor connected. Otherwise the fuel mixture will be extremely rich. Not sure about the ambient temp sensor, but it couldn't hurt. Also make damn sure you have a good solid ground connection.
I don't have a clue about the coils. I would guess they get power from the same place- so they'd be parallel?
