Rear seat eliminator?
I always ride my Roadster solo hench the rear seat is only in my way. Anyone come across a rack/storage unit that would take it's place. Need storage for hopefully never used tools, air compressor, tire repair kit, etc. Daily commuter and weekend fun giver. Being an auto tech. handy with repairs just cannot see riding without proper tools. The bike is so clean just can't stand to mount big cases on tank and tailrack. Any ideas?

You are aware of the factory rack/cover that replaces the rear seat, or are you asking for an aftermarket solution?

I've looked at aftermarket such as the hard cover for the seat. Already tried the Ztechnik which offers reasonable storage capacity. Seems like a very small space under the stock seat. If the seat could be removed there would be more options for storage if that space could be incorporated. I guess I like the nakedness of my Beakster but need more room. Kind of like I like my cake and want to eat it also.

I bought the factory seat cover that frbanks6 linked to. That with a Cortech sport bag I can carry everything I need for a day ride. I have system cases also, haven't used them in months though.

Just to give more detail - that "tea-tray" is thin plastic. If you're going to mount anything on it - brace it up well.
