Welcome to the group. A fine blend of wisdom and opinion here, with valuable support and contributions towards the common R1150R good.
How's the transition from sport bike to standard?

Congrstulations!

I love mine too. I know for sure now as I sold my first one three years ago, and was lucky enough to find another ED80 recently!

Has anyone considered removing the black stripes on the tank? I'm considering doing it because I really like the smooth silky matt white finish, but I'm afraid it would ruin the look of the bike. Pics?
I LOVE my R1200R!

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

It took about 2 days of riding to get used to it. Now, it seems to be more nimble, and I like the down low torque. the cornering seems a bit easier (maybe because of the wider handle bars) Its definately a lot more comfy, after an hour of riding the Ninja you would have to peel me off of it.

Actually my girlfriend mentioned that. To me the stripes make the bike "stand out" a bit more and I really do like that.

Some days I really wish I would have bought that one I saw rather than my Silver Roadster...

Congrats on your newbike......the rims would look bette in black. Actually, I believe that you will be sending them to be powder coated before too long as the white gets ugly pretty soon.

In the meantime enjoy your ride and welcome to the forum.

Actually, the "ferro blue" of one of the prior Roadster color schemes is NICE!! The used rim I had on the front wheel of my Ed 80 looked SWEET - matches the forks and cylinder heads.
