Lots of firsts for me; first bike over a liter, first shaft drive, first air-cooled bike, first twin, first bike with weird front suspension. I'm lovin' it all, just the same.

Many thanks! Yup, it came with the bike. To be honest, I feel a bit iffy about it though. If it was on a bike that went offroad or had lots of chrome, I'd definitely keep it. But then, I've never owned a bike with cylinders that stick out, so I'm keeping the guards and will see how useful they are.strat10 wrote:Man, thats a good lookin bike!
I realy like the chrome tube guard. Was that on the bike allready?
IMHO, 30+ pounds of cumbersome, unneeded weight. The cylinder head covers are surprisingly tough. All that is really needed is the plastic "drop guards" to protect from scratches in driveway tipovers.strat10 wrote:Man, thats a good lookin bike!
