Ohlins rebound and compression settings after setup
I would be interested in knowing the settings for rebound and compression, front and rear, for your Ohlins after you have setup your bike the way you want it. I am just beginning this process and want to get an idea if the recommended settings are close for most of you, or if your settings are different by a wide margin. I know that your settings will reflect your personal preferences and riding style. It would help to also know your weight and riding style. Thanks in advance!

Re: Ohlins rebound and compression settings after setup
Without knowing weight, riding style, what you ride with, etc.. "settings" are pretty much useless.
I'd suggest reading: http://www.eilenberger.net/Suspension/suspension.htm - and if you have questions, ask me.

Re: Ohlins rebound and compression settings after setup
Don,
Thanks for the reply. I have read your article and all of the other posts on this related subject. I have found the recommended settings from Ohlin (+/-) a couple of clicks to provide a good ride in twistie conditions, but I have not tried moving out into the extremes (4-8 clicks), one setting at a time, to see what happens. With a little luck, I will be able to set aside several hours to go through the entire process in the next few days. I was just interested in seeing what the range of settings are for these shocks, knowing that I shouldn't look to set up my bike based on someone else's settings. Thanks for the offer to help.
I hope I have a chance to meet you in a couple of weeks at MOA.
John
