BMW boots run very large?

Post by vegas_rider »

so just picked up the street sneaker 3's and ended up getting a size 44 which according to BMW translates to a 9 1/2 in US sizing. i normally take a size 11 in most makes for regular shoes, but the size 46 (equivalent to US 11) were ginormous!! probably had about an extra 3/4 of an inch lef in the toe. the 44's are snug but comfy, and i'm assuming will break in a bit over time to feel better, at least that's what i'm hoping lol. anyone care to comment?

I wear a US size 11 and bought the BMW "all around" boots in size 45. When trying them on, I also found the 44 a bit snug. It turned out the 45's streched within 6 months... and probably would have been a better fit. I'll be looking for the BMW "Air boots" next year in a 44

just to clarify you're basically in the same boat and are now saying you should've went for the 44 in the "all around" boots as well correct? whew...who knew their sizing would be two sizes off! the 11 is more realistically like a 13 lol.

My BMW sport boots are a size 46, and I normally wear between an 11 or 12...and they fit perfect.

hmmm...guess the safest thing we can assume is that every BMW boot is unique in its sizing, based on what's been said on this thread. guess you really just ghotta get em from a dealer to get the fit perfect, or order from a source that will deal with easy returns!

Yes, I meant to say the 44's would have been a better fit in the long run. The 45's seem like an 11.5. After 6 months of riding they are probably closer to a 12. If BMW sizing is consistent, I'll end up with the airboots in a 44 come spring. Lucky for me, my dealer is only about 1 mile away, so trying on each size isn't an issue for me. Now that I know they'll stretch a bit, I can make a better choice.

I have had 2 pairs of BMW boots size 45. One size 44. The 44 were too small(andRED).

I wear anything from 9-11 in US shoes depending upon the manufacturer. Hockey skate and soccer cleats are size 9, and most everything else is size 10.5. Dress shoes are 11.

I think you're onto something. I think my BMW sport boots are 43 or 44, and I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 US shoe. The were a little tight to begin with, but they've now adjusted perfectly to my feet.

I just need to get something waterproof...

This is all very good information, as I will be placing an order for BMW's All Around boot soon. Unfortunately, the closest dealer that stocks any BMW gear is about 2k miles away, so I'm stuck with ordering and shipping back if the sizes aren't right. :(
