Blocking those pictures = no great loss.

I like a feminine backside as much as the next guy, but seeing their sheer ignorance (and criminal negligence of the pilot IMHO) makes me furious/depressed every time. I always picture those buttocks ground down to the hip bones for some morbid reason... I guess raising a beautiful daughter makes me holier than thou... and if I caught her on the back of some 'd00d's bike dressed like that, I'd take her gear-shopping and treat her to a graphic lecture both ways.

And I'd need to wash my right boot after 'speaking' to the young man, if you know what I mean.

Rant over, take your damn soap-box back.

The one pic that had not been taken down has been around the net for awhile and it is from the former "Black Bike Week" in Mertle Beach. While aborhrent to some, the lack of gear is their choice. I do agree with MG in that if I had a daughter, I'd forbid her to ride with a guy I didn't know, and knowing that I packed a bunch of girls who'se parents forbade them from riding, she'd have the highest quality riding gear I could afford. That way when she lied to me an told me she wouldn't ride she'd be safe.

The real thing that enrages me about that photo is that the city fathers of Mertle Beach outlawed bike rallys because they "felt" that rallys devalued their property values or some other such nonsense. I'm not a rally guy, group rider, or fan of people in general. As my dad used to say, I'm a GD independant SOB. However, I think banning the ability of a group to gather is BS. Once more, rant over, have a nice day.

RW, I bet you didn't think a butt check photo would fire this up??

I have always found it interesting what someone calls fashionable. I found these pictures on thechive.com (i think) and thought they were so unusual that I wanted a copy. I have another that's even more extreme except the woman is wearing a helmet and a g-string. ????
Before we got married, my first wife's father gave her a spanking in front of me because I put a hicky on her neck.
Then explained to me I would get a spanking too for the next hicky.??? She got no more hickys.
My values have changed through the years and now I can say...
every woman a daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister...
or
every man a son, a father, a husband, a brother...

Yep, your right... I never expected all this over a butt pix.

Sorry folks, guess I'm becoming a curmudgeon!

There's some pretty thought provoking replies to an helmet editorial in this month's BMWMOA magazine, which although counter to my perspective, were rational and well delivered. Unlike my patented ranting...

I should learn to "smell the roses" more, if that's not innapropriate considering the pictures posted by Redwing.

Mollygrubber... I think you are on target. I thought what I wrote was in agreement with the thoughts you expressed. I agree with you. The women's posted pictures were in bad taste.

Let's not take our selves too seriously. Something like this every once in a while will do no harm. It's more humor than salaciousness.

Here in CA we have 2/3 of the population telling the other 1/3 how to live, and I am sick of it, and sick of them.

If those doofus's want to be stupid, it should be their right. I figure the species is strengthened when stupid people's DNA is removed from the gene pool.

No I wouldn't want my daughter to do it, but every woman is someone's daughter. Maybe we should get them all burka's and helmets?

I like the picture, nothing wrong with a good view. I'm old and married, but not dead.

Robert,
A Dufas is a small animal that has the ability to mimic the human voice. In the wild they are known to assemble along super highways and attack eighteen wheelers, this usually ends badly as a large Dufas only weighs five ounces. I believe Don Eilenberger has a small Dufas farm on the Jersey shore. I know he carries one on his bike as I often hear him discussing directions with it.
I don't know if their are any Snipe left in Jersey, 40+ years ago myself and my future wife used to park in the parking lots along the Hudson river under the George Washington bridge and wait for them to come by - but never noticed any. It's possible that the submarine races (that were always well attended) held on Friday and Saturday nights in the Hudson drove the river Snipes away.

Thank you, I am glad as well.
In response to the fun silliness going on here I decided to go to dictionary.com and see if doofus is even a word. Much to my surprise it was listed, and even fits the context in which it was used! But there was no description as to a doofus's weight.

doo⋅fus  [doo-fuhs] Show IPA
Use doofus in a Sentence
–noun, plural -fus⋅es.
Slang. a foolish or inept person.
Also, dufus.

Origin:
1960–65, Americanism; prob. alter. of earlier goofus in same sense; cf. goof

When I was a kid, I lived in Daytona Beach for a while. I wasn't allowed to go downtown during bike week, though I usually did the day after it closed -- just to see them squeegeeing the barf and blood into the gutters and picking up loose panties from the roadways. Maybe it's not like that now, but I can understand the City Fathers of Myrtle Beach.

My wife and I were thinking of visitng the Daytona Beach area in February. I hope there will not be panties in the streets then.

I have a fair amount of friends in the "Loud Pipes save Lives"/Fringe Jackets and chrome everything crowd and The word about Myrtle Beach is: The city was having a lot of serious problems with one particular group and instead of putting the lid on that group and facing discrimination charges they chose to shutdown the whole operation.

The people in the Daytona area always complain about the noise and traffic and talk about shutting things down. BUT when the chamber of commerce announces that the 'Bikers' spend over one million dollars a minute every day of Bike Week the folks just live with it. I don't ever remember a major gang oriented problem at Bike Week Daytona. Laconia on the other hand has had problems in the past but after Laconia weekend (now week) the local businesses are in the black for the rest of the year, so the folks live with it. I've only been to Sturges twice and still can't figure why people go there - except for the party.
