Re: Leather Tank cover
I have the Bagster faux-leather one and I like it.
I find it fills in all the "shut-lines" nicely between the tank & seat and the tank & oil cooler covers.
You can fit it so that it never needs to be taken off (ie fixed to the tank alone so you can remove the tank with it in-situ).
I've had mine on both my long distance bikes and tbh, I don't think they move around enough to cause any scratching (which I know a few people worry about). I tend to cover the tank with ACF-50 before fitting them anyway.
Also means I don't have to worry about scratching the matt paint on the tank.
Mine doesn't have all the straps on - when my 2nd Rock was written off I requested the BMW dealership to remove it so I could reuse it - the tech CUT the main straps with a knife to get it off.
Wasn't happy with that (I suspect it was the same tech who commented on a work sheet some months before "extra time needed to remove crappy tankcover") - Spotted that and wasn't terribly impressed, but laughed it off. wasn't too happy with the cut straps either - but the cover still stays on and still serves it's purpose so no real harm done.
One thing I don't do though is carry a HUGE tankbag on it - I don't like big tankbags at the best of times, I find they get in the way of "enthusiastic" riding
so I use a tiny "City" Bagster bag. Recently converted it into a camera case - works very well.
I prefer to have all the luggage behind me (out of the way) - with panniers&topbox I have plenty of room.

Mine's getting a bit tired now though...
But I do have a green one (with all the straps), which I'm tempted to put on soon.

What is ACF?
I think i found a vendor here in the us that will deal with bagster!!! Yeah My bike is not set up for luggage {cough cough the Harley has the room for a kitchen sink cough cough} but i would love to set it up since it is the most comfortable bike. You said you bought a bag from bagster too do you have a pick? and do you have the OEM luggage with the exception of the top case? I would like to ride the bike coast to coast and up to prudoe bay this year. { cough cough or that big pig cough cough}
Any thoughts on a nice clean looking system? that tank cover is on its way by the way thank you!!!!178.oo US not bad since the ecomony collapsed.

ACF-50 is an all weather anti-corrosion treatment - you can get it in lots of places - bike places tend to be more expensive - but here's a link in the StatesFoshow150 wrote:"I tend to cover the tank with ACF-50 before fitting them anyway."

I've got the BMW kit - don't know much about the other options - but other guys on this board will know.
Bagster has a HUGE range of bags - have a think about how much you want to carry and see if you can get a good look at a few in person.

I also love that picture of your Rockster in the snowriceburner wrote:I have the Bagster faux-leather one and I like it.
I also bought my Rockster with a Bagster cover fitted. I have now used a total of 4 Bagster covers and bags (4 diff bikes, the same bag swapped across all bikes) and have always been happy with the performance and protection of the tankcover, and of course the versatility of the tankbag system itself.
