Your mod is alot cleaner than the vista cruise since it doesn't have that ugly bar the vista cruise has. Thanks for the pics. Unfortunately I've already carved down the throttle grip for the vista cruise.

Sounds like the NEP is the way to go. And it doesn't leave any visible scars if you decide to remove it.

OK, so call me stoopid. Hey, I'm married with children....you can't hurt my fellings. So anyhow, right after I posted in the original post about hating to spend money on Throttlemiesters and how cool it would be to do this mod, following the Advrider suggestions, what did I do ? Yep, you guessed it......I bought a used set of the black crinkle finish Throttlemiesters ! And actually, with the black finish, my gloves don't slip around on them like the stainless ones. What can I say, I'm an idiot farkle hound. When the NEP showed up, I played with it for a very brief period and then put it away, almost completely unmodified. And since it is difficult to talk with feathers in my mouth, I hereby offer up my NEP thingie

Hey, I really love my Throttlemeister (and I had an NEP on my last bike for over 15 years, and liked it a lot). I just can't see long hwy trips without some sort of throttle lock. Now, if BMW had offered the RT cruise control for the R, I'd have been all over that. A real cruise control beats a throttle lock any day, in my opinion.

Hmmm. I used something like that on my CB750 back in the '70s. Worked great.

This NEP looks like the winner for my wish list. Anybody have suggestions on reliable sources to buy from with decent shipping (i.e. Priority Mail)?

Please post pics of your windscreen bracket bracket and the results. I've been interested in this ever since seeing Ziobato's "radical cut" windscreen. I was thinking of trying to tip the BMW sport screen back and would like to see more ideas for modified/fabricated brackets.

Seek and ye shall find, my friend - there are several pics of "bracket brackets" scattered around - one's in the thread "Ergonomics and the R1200R" I believe.

I've seen one fabricated bracket, that I think you made, and just wanted to see others as people have made or modified them. But, I'll do a search and see if I turn up anything that I haven't seen yet.

Chris,

I will be posting pix of my NEP, bracket bracket (different from the others seen here), GS hand guards, and home made fender extender as soon as I have everything buttoned up.

Prolly by the end of the week, depending on how long it takes me to learn to post pix.

Here's mine, Chris. It only took minutes to make, and works well. I'd like to see others, though, for sure.
