Run Chibbert...RUN for your life...

The Great Discussion Board Inquisition of 2010 has begun... :o

I'm running too... I am sure I have made posts that added to the jumble of inaccurate information.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

Richie - open your eyes! I have an RS not a R whereby negating any relativity to this subject. If you want to know what mine does go look in the 'mine' section - not the 'yours' section. I'm not trying to be pissy or a brat - I would just like you to go piss on someone else's cereal bowl and leave mine alone.

hey, take your ball when you go, try changing up to top gear at 170 + , thats motoring. And on a BMW too.

Oh, and as you are being so rude.

I HAVE NOTHING OF VALUE TO ADD TO THIS POST

Of course, if I write bollocks, then I reserve the right to remove it so nobody can see it.

Richie, you &#$^, everything I posted previously was relative to the post. You had to come in an throw a fit and tell some of us to go play somewhere else because if we didn't have an '04 R1150R we were muddying the post with useless information. Now that your actions have made we want to remove my earlier posts, you can TRY to seem clever and write bullsheet about me if you want but NO ONE WILL BUY IT! You're being the douche here - not me.

Oh and lastly - as far as changing into top gear at 170. Sounds great! My pussy bike could never achieve such feats of grandeur. However, in the interest of thinning the herd, please do so often.

I just tried this on my 2004 R1150RA... It didn't work. I stood on the pedal as hard as I could, but the servo just kept going.

Try not to let it get to you, Chibbert. It's not worth the frustration.

Regardless of the source of the original question, I did find that stepping as hard as possible on the rear brake did not result in the servo whine going away. That's with the reportedly new & improved replacement ABS pump circa spring 2007. And indeed, I can verify that both the original unit that failed and the improved unit that replaced it in my Rockster are identical to the units that would be used for an R1150R of the same vintage.
