Electronic cruise control

Long time BMW owner; first post on this forum.

Can someone tell me whether it is impossible to retrofit an RT cruise control to the R or whether it's just too expensive? Thanks.

I've wondered, too, but my guess it's a long shot at best. Even if retrofitted, you'd probably need a software unlock code from BMW — as you do with the ASC retrofit kit — to get the modules talking. It's unlikely they'd sell it.

Although with time, money and connections, I reckon anything's possible — maybe somebody's already done it.
