Clutch replacement

Post by blackie21 »

hi all,

would like to know your experience on replacing the clutch on the roadster. the clutch on mine is slipping and i understand the normal procedure is to replace the clutch plates and potentially the diaphragm spring along with the various screws and washer.

But do we need to replace the pressure plate ( part #21212325863) and housing cover (part #21212330024) as well. I have about 100k km on the bike.

Because the job is such a PITA, you should buy a whole new clutch unit together with shaft seals. Don't forget to use the appropriate lube on your splines too!!!
