Re: Wish we didn't need mirrors
I've actually started investigating a rear view camera. Could easily mount a small camera on the rear and a 3.5" monitor on the handle bar clamps.
Hmmm...

I know what you mean, I love the look of my bike when I take them off for track days... I'd post a pic, but I don't know how, thought there used to be an attachment button...

You could go for one of those "rear-view" helmets. I believe Reevu makes one but having not tried one before I am not sure how it feels riding with on of those... Or if it is even legal to ride without mirrors, rear-view helmet or not.

Ride faster than the rest of the pack then you don't need these damn mirrors ...

Re: Wish we didn't need mirrors
I installed bar end mirrors, and took the stock ones off for one season.
It was a cool look.
The bar ends were fish eyed round, so depth perception was sacrificed in favor of no blind spots.
I almost got creamed switching lanes on I95 near Baltimore, a kid in an Escalade was doing 90 in the center lane.
I could not judge his speed with the bar end mirrors, and stained my shorts.
I put the stock ones back on, now have both.

CRG mirrors?I installed bar end mirrors, and took the stock ones off for one season. It was a cool look. The bar ends were fish eyed round...
Want to install one of the CRG 2" convex mirrors on my Rockster, to supplement K1200RS mirrors. Tried a stick-on convex spot mirror, but even the small size takes up too much of the regular mirror's surface and image.
Rockster#2, K1300S, S1000R (for sale)
