Bike is running again
Posted on this site on April 22 that the bike just quit running. The problem was a separation of the fuel line in the tank. Found a BMW bike mechanic near my home who does some side work. Having just bought the 2002 with 8000 miles, I had him change all fluids and bring maintenance up to date for time and mileage. New Metzler tires and I am one happy camper. I did have him change out the QDs from plastic to metal as one was bypassed by the previous owner, probably broke it when taking out the battery. I love this bike...
