Considering R1100R

I am new to this board and am considering an R1100R. It is a 2000 model with 26,000 miles. It has an aftermarket ferring and BMW saddlebags. Is $4,000 too much? NADA says $2722 and KBB says $4030. Big discrepancy. Any insight would be appreciated. I am located in Oklahoma.

Owned one for one month; traded it for a 2007 R1200R and never looked back.

THe R1100R is TWO iterations older than the R1200R. Too many improvements to list. Just save up, step up to the R1200R. If you are going for the R1100R because it's less money, it really isn't as you'd have to spend a lot on suspension etc to bring it up to more modern feel. If it's a first bike, it's too much bike. That's a mistake I made with both bikes; should have started smaller and worked up.

If you gotta have this bike offer 2K but go no higher than 2.5K. Have someone else make the offer for you if you are too in love....someone who doesn't care with hundred dollar bills in an envelope.....the bike will be at your house within the hour.
