Quick Disconnect's by Racer Parts Wholesale for R1150R

Post by RadicalR1150R »

Hello.. Has anyone any experience with the QD's sold by Racer Parts Wholesale.. The following is from their website..

Jiffy-tite's revolutionary Quick Connect Fluid Fittings provide unsurpassed performance under extreme conditions. Made of lightweight, 6061-T6 aluminum, brass valves, and stainless steel ball bearings, they are corrosion resistant for extra long life. Jiffy-tite's unique, high-flow valve technology in the plug and socket assembly automatically interrupts the flow of fluid when disconnected to protect against hazardous gas leaks. Tested and proven to have a 100% leak proof seal, even at 200 psi. The Jiffy-tite fittings have no serviceable o-rings to replace.

The QD's from Beemer Boneyard have the Viton O-ring..
Thank you.. Steve in Michigan I'm thinking I best consider getting this done soon fore it's too late....

Mine just arrived in the mail. I ordered after reading this thread. Nice product, great service. I had one of the original L shaped plastic fuel fittings break on my 2001 fuel injected Speed Triple, and I was lucky to limp back home about six miles. Smelled fumes, and slipped going around a corner, but not bad enough to crash. Gas would flow back to the rear tire. Those would slowly crack at the right angle of the fitting, and were part of a world-wide recall. Replaced for free at the dealer. I could see where the BMW fitting would break, and completely come apart at once, and that would be that. So, after being on the lucky side of this once, I'm going to be really lucky and replace them in advance.

My order just arrived yesterday. They look like very high quality. I plan to install next week as I'm waiting for my GPS powerpack to install at the same time. I think I'm also going to install a new Odyssey Battery.
