Jiffy-Tite orientation?

Post by Nebraskabeemer »

Hi,

So I'm looking at my two Jiffy-Tite quick connects. It looks like both sides completely shut off when popped apart. Can they be situated so they only can go one way - that is the feed goes L-R, and return goes R-L so the hoses can't be connected incorrectly?

Not only can they, but they should be. For precisely the reason you mention.

Nebraskabeemer,
Try not to destroy the OEM QDs when you remove them. Easier said than done.
One part when connected to a metre or so of spare fuel hose can come in handy if ever you need to drain the fuel tank. And you will.
See - http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=85673 for a walk through on draining the tank.
