Just wonder how they compare to OEM ?..as far as fit, on the motorcycle, and room inside?
They look as nice as OEM,...maybe even better.

Haven't had a chance to use them yet but a friend who's used both oem and givi said he thought givi were better quality.
I've had no problems w oem on Stella! other than a broken red tab
They look to be similar in size. Revzilla prob has dimensions of givi s.
the rack for the givi s is a little more visible than oem. I can post a pic if you like. In fact I will post side by sides of the cases

John, You got quite a deal there, considering the Ohlins, engine guards, seat & Givis'. You're a Boxer Man, strengthened, like I also once was, by the perceived premium qualities and the real world satisfying all around performance the bike has compared to any other bike. What other standard bike has such a powerful 700 Watt car alternator, shaft drive, awesome brakes, great handling and so many owner friendly qualities like the balancing centerstand so either or both wheels can be removed. The ability to choose the highway cruising speed you want while fighting an engine that always seems to want to go faster. The ignition key lockable side cases that remove quickly and can be carried away in each hand as luggage. An engine that can and did have it's 8 valves correctly adjusted by our favorite Texas lady photographer, GypsyRR, after a patient hands-on Sunday morning coaching session in the Motel parking lot of our only Arkansas Bash. Even the ability to PERFECTLY synchronize the throttlebodies with a wood stick and $3 worth of clear plastic tubing partially filled with food coloring dyed water.

I predict you'll not miss Stella before too long. You'll also appreciate the better MPGs, instrumentation technology, computerized idle control, power and maneuverability. Fixing only the maybe someday scratched engine guard pipes is easier and, heaven forbid, will allow you to ride that downed or dropped bike home with no oil leaks. That's peace of mind. You got (rebuildable) Ohlins too!

Dr. Strangelove, Congrats on the new bike; looks real sharp!

I am new to all this and your ABS problem has me asking a few questions. My bike has approx 15,000 miles on it (03 RR with No maintenance records) and I was wondering at what mileage the ABS units typically fail? And could you give me an idea what the reasonable price quote was for the rebuild? Thanks.

Hi, Hope and welcome to the forum.

My Stella! is pushing 100k miles and this happened about 2k miles ago.

ModuleMasters is not working on the unit that is in my bike, yet. But will after the first of the year. I think I found most of the info I have from this link, I think they may be working on 03 s and earlier as well as later models. They are not yet working on the ones with the servo assist. It is the servo pump that is failing. You still have brakes, albeit a harder pull to engage, but no abs. I want abs.

It seems it is a couple of hundred dollars, but as they are not yet working on my iteration of the unit that could be incorrect. I think though it is about right. They warrant their work for 5 years. I will almost definitely do it rather than the $3000 for a replacement.
People who've had it done report good results.
As far as when this typically happens, I've no clue. But I believe it is very rare for this to happen. I've seen some reporting that it happens on the 1200 s around 25k miles, but I think that is just a wild a$$ guess.
