New Shocks!

Post by Bill Stevenson »

At 31,000 miles my shocks were getting tired. I read all the correspondence here and decided to go with Ted Porter. He has a wealth of knowledge and after a lengthy telephone conversation, wherein he asked a lot of questions to get a fix on how I ride most of the time, he made a recommendation. The shocks arrived in due course and I installed them with the help of a friend the weekend before last. Installation was straight forward and took about 2.5 hours total including clean up. I could not be happier with the result, better than new.

I ordered the Yacugars from Ted -- still waiting but very excited -- I'm lowering 3/4".

What was the damage for the shocks? My r1100r has 60K miles on original shocks.

About $1,600.00 US when all was said and done. I installed them myself so add a couple of hundred to that if you have them installed by someone else. Money well spent.

Yes, when your shocks arrive call Ted Porter and he will talk you through it. Piece of cake.
