R1100R Battery Non ABS

Post by awldun »

I have a question for you R1100R owners w/o ABS brakes.

I recently had the tank off of my bike and noticed the big space behind the battery. Has anyone moved the battery back into this space? This would move the space up front and allow it to be easily utilized for storage.

...um.. If that were the case, then one might infer that the battery, in its current location, is easily accessed. No?

Not on my 1100R, it ain't!

The space behind the battery on non ABS bikes if for re-location of the charcoal canister.

Well, it should be easy enough to store things like gloves, a hat, a small mp3 player. I'd probably make a little box so things can't fall thru the frame.

I store my charcoal canistor in the garage. :D
