You're one hell of a rake man. 85 x 2.2 = 187lbs

What Big Guys Wear

Post by king biscuit »

Somewhere in this thread, someone asked what the larger guys wear while riding. Well, for me, it's pretty hard to find gear, but I've managed to find some pretty nice stuff. Here's my protection
Boots - Alpinstars Roam size 48
Pants - Draggin Jeans "Big Mens" size 52 X 30...these are great. Got them from http://www.dragginjeans.com. Can't say enough good about these pants.
Jacket - First Gear Mesh Tex II size 4 X
First Gear Trekker Size 4 X.
Nice thing about these 2 jackets is that the Trekker came with an insulated liner and the Mesh came with a windbreaker type liner. They are interchangeable.
Helmet Shoei size 2X

It really sucks that those of us who tip the scales a little further have to look so hard for good gear. I was told by one of the very helpful folks at Iron Pony that many times the manufacturers list larger sizes but never make them. She also told me that some companies list large sizes that are actually a pretty normal size. For instance, I was looking at FieldSheer over pants. She said a 3 X equates out to a 38 inch waist...who are they kidding!

Is being overweight unhealthy? The current trend is to say yes. The reality is that for some of us, being slim and trim just is not in the cards. I have lost, gained lost and gained again, more weight than many will ever wiegh. I try my best not to let it slow me down, I just keep going. If anyone gives me poo about my weight, I squash them like a grape! Why? Because I can!!!!

To all my Beefy Breatheren I say "Ride On!".

6' 4" ish... 115kgs...

BUT in my defense... I press 145kgs (on a good day), squat 160kgs... so a lot of non fat hiding underneath...

I only use gym as a justification for pizza....

Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
