Rockster Touring Windscreen Pics...
If anyone's interested... I took some snapshots of the screen on my Ed. 80 after a recent jaunt around SF.
Here's the gallery:

I bought the screen from a fellow member of r1150r.net and have really enjoyed having it on my bike.

Hey! That looks exactly like my bike (except much cleaner).
The thing I like best about the windscreen is how easily it's removed/installed. I only throw it on the bike if it's particularly cold or if I'm going to cover some big miles.

Rockster screen
I like the screen. Who makes it? Where can I get it? Is it available in the UK?

Hi, T.,
great pics. I want to buy this screen, too. I am really interested, how the screen looks from before. - Do you have a photo of the front?

And to answer bemwabob, I'm not sure who makes the screen but it has a BMW part number and I bought mine from the dealer.

Windshield Debate Still Rages...!?
As a new member, and recent Rockster purchaser...I have enjoyed all the comments and advice on Windshield options (as few as there are) for the Rockster...and it seems the Jury is still out...
The problem is, love windshields or hate them, it's cold here...and distance riding without protection is not really and option...
Any new window discoveries out there....? The 'mocked up' photoshop GS picture looks the best so far...
I have 4 more months of snow before I can test any of your theories...but love the advice.

I have the Parabellum medium touring windshield on my Rock. I like it alot. It makes it really easy to ride them long rides. I got my Ironbutt due to it. the only drawback is it dosen't look real good when the system cases are removed, but it is not too dificult to remove when you want the streamline look.

Rockster Screens
The screen in question is made in the US by National Cycle, who make (I understand) BMW OEM screens such as the sport and high screens for the R1150R. It is marketed by Z-Technik, at the following website:
http://www.ztechnik.com/
The easiest way to navigate Z-Technik's rather cryptic website is to search for product by model. Or, if this link works, follow it straight to the Rockster page:
http://shop.ztechnik.com/cgi-bin/ztech/ ... del=bm-041
There is more stuff that would fit the Rockster on the R1150R page of the Z-Technik site as well. Not all of the products come up on the Rockster page.
Interestingly, the screen is sold in the US through the dealer network, so US residents can't buy from Z-Technik direct. Because the screen is not is not a BMW part here in Oz, I could order direct, as could other non-US dwellers (or aliens!).
I ordered my screen direct from Z-Technik with no problems; they were great. They were also cheaper than buying from a BMW dealer in the US (at least for non-US customers - see previous paragraph).
I have the screen fitted to my 05 Rockster. It is great quality: built to OEM standards ie lexan screen and stainless steel mounts. The screen can be removed in moments, and the mounts can stay in place. They don't look too bad.
I have found the screen good but not perfect; wind protection on any naked bike is an issue. The screen protects your upper body well from the wind, but channels more air over your helmet, causing some additional wind noise.
I have removed the screen for summer in Oz, because it is much cooler, and also quieter, without it. I will reinstall it for the cooler months.

Parabellum Cafe shield - First report
Got my parabellum cafe shield for 159.00 off ebay. the company sells them there and that is the starting price, save 20$! shipping was 10$ i think.
Instructions were very minimal, but installation of the shiled and a pair of barbacks was easy and less than 1 hour taking my time. only tools needed are a 5.5 allen, torx socket(45?) and 10mm wrench and socket. works fine with the barbacks, but will have to remove the shield partially to take the barbacks off if i switch back and forth. l like the barbacks position initally, so that may not happen. depends on how i feel when racing.( i do parking lot racing with my brother)
Off for a test ride! first thing i notice is that when i hit 80 i don't feel like i'm being blown off the bike or acting like a parachute. i'm sure i will get better gas mileage.screen is pretty low, and to me fits the lines of the bike pretty well.it leaves a small gap between the bikini fairing and the shield for good airflow. i'll have to take pics soon and post. It definitely isn't noisy to me( i wear a full arai) and there isn't any buffeting even though i have a real long torso. putting my hand out i can feel the wind being forced up and over me. yet there is still enough wind that i know i'm riding and would be cool in the summer. as they say, it is just enough to keep the wind off your chest, and that is great here in DC in the winter.
i'll report back with pics after my next ride. i'm getting a remus exhaust this week, so i'll take pics of everything shortly.
