Wannabeemer now has a Beemer!
Well on order anyway, 06 R1150R in piedmont red, overdrive, back rack, large windshield, high seat and white turnsignals! Should have it in 1 to 2 weeks. The dealer loaned me a 04 Rockster for a day and I was hooked, I guess he new what he was doing. I'm now an X- Harley rider and love the whole naked bike concept.
You know your getting old when everyone new you meet looks familiar!
Congratulations! My dealer said his best salesmen were the bikes in the showroom. I never did get a test before I bought mine but it looks like he wasn't kidding. You're gonna love this bike!!
AND the white indicator lenses just add that extra touch of class!.Hope you can cope with the 1-2 week wait! Go get that Rockster back for a few days to keep you going!

I really liked the Rockster, grabbed a lot of attention everywhere I went, but being an older dude in my mid 40's I figured the Roadster (still a very cool bike) with overdrive would be the right choice for me.domekrome wrote:Congrats, but don't borrow the Rockster again, you may suffer buyer's remorse when the R shows up. Don't want to kick yourself for not getting the Rockster![]()

Good Work Wannabeemer....A whole new life has just opened to you!!!
You gotta change your 'handle' now to GottaBeemer.
I picked my handle because when I road my R for the first time I was 'Just Beeming' !!!! I have never been happier with the bike.
Welcome to the world of BMW Bikes....I will never return to cruiser World either. No matter how old I get....
And since this thread has de-railed to a color contest....
If you notice,
all the smart people choose BLACK
