Anyone close to Richmond, VA have an R1100R??

Post by tracye34 »

I am considering the purchase of one to upgrade my 97 F650, but have only ridden an 1150R. I would love to have a chance to compare if someone is willing to let me take it for a ride.

Post here are email me at [email protected].

Thanks,

Tracy

Why would you want an R1100R instead of the R1150R?

R1100R vs R1150R

Post by tracye34 »

They are both nice bikes. I like the styling of both, even though they are different. I would probably prefer the 1150, mainly for the model year improvements such as more power, 6-speed etc. But I am only willing to spend $xxx and there is a very limited selection out there that is in my price range. I found a 2001 RR with very low mileage in pristine condition and with a ton of accessories that was in my range and reasonably close (300 miles) to me.

I think either will do everything I want it to, so I am trying to get the best overall deal. They will be a substantial upgrade from my 97 F650.

I see. From what I understand the R1150R is a vast improvement over the 1100. I don't know what the price difference is but if its a grand or less I would say its worth the money if you plan on keeping the bike for a while.
