I'm interested in trying out a hack system and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I am mostly interesting in a more "safe" ride since I am recovering from a crash, and ease of handling and ability to handle long distances on them.
Thanks

I tried riding a sidecar rig once (and a 3-wheeled ATV); don't let the single front wheel fool ya. It is not a bicycle or motorcycle and your instinct for countersteering goes out the window. You wanna veer left, crank the front wheel to the left... and vice-versa. Also something about accentuating your body english to assist in the turns.
The ATV I rode was on a small dirt path and I was hugging too closely to the right shoulder. The berm was about a 6" dropoff, and to move away from the edge, I instictively tried leaning to my left while pointing the wheel to the right. I ended up going right... off the path!

Traffic signals timed for 35mph, are also timed for 70mph.

Re: Sidecar Rig
The handling of sidecar rigs is different enough that in my state, (WA) they require a separate licence endorsement.jsqueri wrote:I'm interested in trying out a hack system and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.
