Sticky throttle advance (choking "choke")

Post by ffilmar »

Hey all,

Recently, I have trouble releasing the throttle advance ("choke") lever. It pulls up just fine but I have to fight with it to lower it back down. It ~sounds~ like the problem is near the lever in the plastic case on the handlebar. The throttle works fine - no sticking there.

Anyone run into this one? Yes, the bike is under warranty but maybe there is a simple fix. I searched the archives and couldn't find anything on this.

never had any real problem with it, but mine has always seemed a bit clunky.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

wow, I posted about the same issue about a week and a half ago, This week the problem just went away. Basically I really had to put some muscle into getting the lever down. I once tried it when I was standing in front of the bike and noticed the plastic housing shift to the side when I pushed the lever down.

Again problem just disappeard this week.
