Where to buy a helmet

Post by dsimon9 »

Hello:

Looking to purchase a new helmet. I have not quite decided which one I want. I have narrowed it down to Shoei rf-1000, Schuberth C2, or Nolan N102. Not necessarily looking for feedback on the helmets, but mostly interested in where to find the better/best prices for them.

I do have a question about the Schuberth C2. While looking at one of the helmets, the manufacturing date for it was posted as 5/2005. So basically the helmet had been sitting in inventory for over a year. Is that typical for a Schuberth helmet? The Nolan helmet, on the other hand, was manufactured in June 2006.

Thanks for the advice.

I used http://www.helmetharbor.com when I was gearing up. That was a couple years ago so there may be better places around now. As I recall the prices were good and the the shipping was pretty quick. not sure if they do helmets but http://www.newenough.com should be on every riders Favorites list somewhere. I did get a new face shield and some other accessories from there.

+1 - they have great prices. I haven't used them in a while but when I did they were 'unbeatable'. Great customer service too.

I give the Helmet Harbor 2 thumbs up also. Great prices, and fast shipping.
