3rad is a member of this forum who has a very sweet sidecar setup. I'd say he's probably the best source of info on the topic...

http://3rad.smugmug.com for his excellent pictures of his sidecar rig and his awesome European tours...

Just a couple of weeks ago on the BMWMOA board a R with a Hannigan Sprint sidecar was offered for sale. It looked very nice, black with just a speedster screen. Seller was in Princeton, MA. It has since been sold/or been taken off the board. Was set up with electric lean and could be detached to ride solo.

3RAD

I have been fascinated by side cars since I've owned by R. (4 years)
Have thought about buying a Ural but then thought why not look into fitting one to my machine. Basically I know nothing about them other than just what I see on line. Is it doable? (within $$ reason?)
