Assistance request from Canadian folks...?

Post by NachtRitter »

Hiya...

I've run into an issue on my BMW car, a 1998 323i, which it appears I cannot get resolved without some assistance from a willing participant that lives in Canada...

When I recently bought the car, the seller included a pair of aftermarket Hella headlights... these are "Euro spec" headlights with glass lens and projector high beams... very nice and much better than the plastic-lensed US-spec headlights. However, on the passenger side Hella headlight, both the adjuster connectors had broken off, leaving the reflector assembley "floating" inside the housing and making it impossible to adjust the high and low beam correctly. (I knew it was broken when I bought the car; that's why the OEM lights were installed and the Hella lights were extra)

I tried contacting Hella customer support to find out what I could do, but it turns out that these lights may not be sold in the US (though Canada is OK) and so Hella won't even talk to me.

So if there is a board member in Canada willing to help out, I would appreciate help on the following:
1. Find out what options are available and what the costs are. Hopefully, they could provide just the adjuster plastics so I can replace the broken parts only.
2. If options and costs are reasonable, have Hella ship the parts to the Canada address, and then ship them to my address. I would cover all costs.

If there is anyone that could help me out, I'd definitely appreciate it! Please send a PM so we can discuss.
