Fork paint

Post by ErikU »

While removing the tank, I accidentally scratched a little bit of the fork tube with the clamps that hold on the oil cooler lines. Now my absolutely perfect bike has a blemish that I need to fix.

The scratch is small enough that just a few drops of touch up paint would fix it, but too big for polishing compound. The dealer says they don't have paint, or codes for the fork tubes. I assume they were powder coated at the factory, but I just want to put on a few drops of touch up.

Does anyone know how to get matching paint for this? Does a paint code exist somewhere?

Thanks!

Here is what I used.

Dupli-Color DSGM340 silver metallic. Available at Walmart and Advance Auto, probably a bunch of other places as well.

duplicolor scratch fix 2in1
ha 00971 satin silver metallic
nh623m
honda

Try it first on something else and see if is a match.
Good luck.

I found the paint, and while not perfect, it's a pretty close match. As a bonus for me it is a perfect match for my Volvo and I spent the morning touching up the bumpers!
