I saw this on the BMWMOA or Sport Touring forum.
A question that came up is "Why post these pictures?"
I am not sure. Maybe somebody will be so disturbed by the pictures that they will ride more responsibly. I doubt it.
ATGATT.....
and don't run into trucks.

I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...
It is for this reason that links for this subject matter is (much) appreciated..... especially by the likes of me. I can't, I won't, I refuse to open it, as I am easily disturbed. I'm already know'n how bad it can be, and I choose to remain sheltered from, and sensitive to, the disturbing.
Bikes is bikes, gotta love 'em!
I won't open it for the same reasons, and I am supposed to, as a moderator.WhoZat wrote:It is for this reason that links for this subject matter is (much) appreciated..... especially by the likes of me. Freedom is dangerous. Those in power that steal freedom are more dangerous.
Ditto. I spent years with review of fatals on the Interstate system as part of my job. My wife still gets to see way too many fatalities involving heavy trucks. I've had more than my fill. But, for those that think it helps, go ahead, you never know.sjbmw wrote:

Yeah. He looks pretty dead to me too. But it could be one of those internet staged photo things that get passed around. For what point I have no clue...but it happens.
How would they know how fast he was going? Does the speedometer freeze at the point of impact? Or maybe just a guesstimate based on how far his helmet was imbedded in the back of the truck?
I didn't understand that he was dragged along. I thought he just rammed a stationary truck on the shoulder. Hmmm?
