I just did a little cosmetic improvement on my bike, painted the windshield. (small BMW speedster screen)
Looks good, but now I have the urge to polish out the scuffs (unpainted side) that I have accumulated for a couple years. Any reccomendations for plastic polish? Anything else that will work that I may already have sitting around? Is this the same plasic as my helmet screen?
Amy is probably right, nobody is ever gonna notice underneath the bug guts. She knows my bike washing shedule (lack thereof) well. Tomorrow I'll probably just stick it back on the bike and ride till work O'clock.

windshield polish?
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...
I've had great success with Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Cleaner. I used it to restore a cloudy scratched windshield that had been stored improperly for nine years. It looked hopeless when I started and quite nice when I finished.
By the way, Johnson's Pledge (or similar) furniture polish does a great job of cleaning the bug residue from your face shield and windshield. I carry a resealable package of the wipes with me so I can clean off the goo at fuel and rest stops.

I've used Novus polish with great effect. It's a polishing system with several grades of abrasiveness, so it's got a lot of usefulness.
