I love my R
Well I've had the R for 2 years this week coming. Ridden it all winter without cleaning and a couple of hours work saw it gleaming like a new pin again. Only deterioration I can find is a little pitting on the forks and bottom of he engine case where the stones and salt have got at it. Otherwise it looks like the day I picked it up!
Re: I love my R
Chris, you need more pics of your R instead of the pretty flowers.
RIDE TOO PRETEND, PRETEND TOO RIDE.

Hey Chris
Nice to see you are still about and on the R. Worst thing for me about riding over the winter months is the squaring off of the rear wheel due to lack of confidence in the corners!! Mine's pitted badly on the forks and also have the corrosion on the front of the block at the bottom.
Work carried out over the winter: Switched the BMW accessory socket for a full size Cig Lighter socket - Cost £3.00! Also fitted a Kissan SignalMinder. First unit was faulty and the dealer tried telling me that the screws in the indicator lenses were too long and causing a short!!!!!! Anyway, after a few choice words - and photos via e mail - they replaced the unit and it now works a charm. Also had a local guy make up a Y piece so have reverted to the original Can and no Cat.
Also done my own servicing with the exception of TBs and new brake fluids so slowly getting to grips with this machine.
25 of us off to Isle of Man mid May for a "wet" weekend. (If the weather doesn't do it the pubs will!)
Cheers
