Sure can. Go to the sargent website. They have a bunch of different options available, (heated etc...). Who cares about the pillion anyways....as long as your comfy

Beemerboy, before you "shell" out a bunch of money for a new saddle, I would try one of the Alaskan leathers "Butt pads" for about $60.00 is is worth a try, (if you do not like it I am sure it would sell quick on Craig's list). I just purchased another one for my KLR, I used the same size that is called for the "R1150R. I will spare you the "Gory" details but this is from a guy who knows a thing or two about sore Butts (get yer mind out of the gutter) Den

Oh and about the pillion i need a comfy one cause i need to pick up a lady (im single).
Re: My butt hurts (get yer mind out of the gutter)
I have the Alaska sheepskin pad and the beadrider seat cover. I have to say that the beadrider works a little better for me. I believe the website is www.beadrider.com
Re: My butt hurts (get yer mind out of the gutter)
+1 on the sheepskin pad...I started using these about 25 years ago...had to buy mine from a Saddle & Tack shop and it's still good to go after all these years. I've seen the Alaska leather pads, they're much nicer than mine and look just as comfortable. Think mnnden offered an excellent piece of advice....
Also, if you don't do a lot of 100+ mile days it does take a little while to get past the saddle sore stage, even on a comfortable seat. I had a Sargent on my 50R and it definitely added to the comfort quotient...but at fairly substantial cost.
BTW, I did 3800 miles in 9 days recently on an '04 R1100S, which has a much less comfortable seat than the R bike. My sheepskin pad is largely responsible for that being a successful trip. Successful in terms of being to actually walk after 500 miles in a day...
Good luck! BJ

Even better....take her for 100 mile ride, her butt will be so sore that she wont even notice it when you.......beemerboy wrote:Oh and about the pillion i need a comfy one cause i need to pick up a lady (im single).

Get the Alaska Leather sheepskin pad from Den. Try it out. If you don't like it then get the Sargent seat and transfer the sheepskin to the pillion seat for the lady. Tell her you got the soft one especially for her.
You might also try a local auto/boat upholsterer. After glowing recommendations I rode by a local upholsterer this afternoon, called "Gotcha Covered" they specialize in restoration work on vintage cars and also do lots of boats. The proprietor said they occasionally are asked to do a bike seat and quoted me $200-$250 to do a full bench seat for my F650GS. They will call me to come take a test "sit-on" before the cover goes on. I'm giving them a try, since several of our local BMW club members swear by them.
Just a suggestion, but it wouldn't hurt to ask around at the local BMW club you have there.

Re: My butt hurts (get yer mind out of the gutter)
When I tried the Alaskan sheep herder's butt skin, it gave me an extra hour's worth of comfort... per sitting.
If I can stop myself from pushing myself to my pain threshold, and take reasonable breaks... I can ride most all day...it was a good cheap solution.

I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...
Re: My butt hurts (get yer mind out of the gutter)
You may wish to try the high BMW front seat. It has more foam padding and is more comfortable than the standard one. It will raise you up a bit, which eases the bend at the knees as well. I have the taller saddle, and it works pretty well for me. If I get that squirmy feeling, I find using the rear pegs for a little while helps. In fact, I find resting my toes on the rider pegs and my heels on the rear peg mounts is quite comfortable. Using the two big highway leg rests that BMW so thoughtfully provided can also help out occasionally, too. Just wear fairly tall boots as they do get a trifle warm.

Re: My butt hurts (get yer mind out of the gutter)
Airhawk works real well for me. I used it to get to the Bash that just finished up, and it was great for those long slab rides. It does feel a bit weird at first, and puts you another 1" or so up over the seat (I probably have it overinflated). I liked the extra legroom though. And it's removable, in fact I haven't had a ride long enough to warrant putting it back on yet.
Anyway, I got mine for $130 (new) off eBay. Good luck in your search!

+1 for the Airhawk. Check JCWhitney website for whatever deal they are running.

Maybe for tall guys with skinny butts! You may wish to try the high BMW front seat. It has more foam padding and is more comfortable than the standard one
I will be doing the sheepskin thing next. I have an old one and took it on the Bash ride but never pulled it out of the saddlebags due to all the liquid sunshine we had!
