Fuel pump sock/filter

Post by Byrdguy »

Is there a recommended cleaning method of this screen on the inlet of the pump? I'm changing the fuel filter and was wondering if cleaning of the sock is necessary. It looks fragile, but it's all intact with no crud on it. any advice appreciated.

If there's no crud on it, then I'd leave it be tbh.
