Closeout on Z-Technik Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems

Post by Mike Figielski »

Hey Guys,
Not sure if it is OK to post this here but I thought R1150R owners would be interested. Beemerboneyard now has a limited supply of Z-Technik stainless steel exhaust systems for all R1150GS, GS ADV and R1150R bikes. These have lifetime packing and do not need to be repacked. It is a cat eliminator Y-pipe and can, new in the box with all hardware. Normal retail was $699.95 and we are closing out the remaining systems for $459.95. Sorry no manufacture's warranty on these but we'll take care of you if there is an issue.
You can see and order the system here: http://www.beemerboneyard.com/ztnckr11swrpk.html
Thanks!
Mike

Thanks for the heads up!

Just ordered this exhaust system. I've been holding off for too long. I was unable to find any sort of reviews on it and there are not really any sound samples on YouTube. Other systems are so expensive and I could never justify it to the wife.

My main reason for getting this is to eliminate the cat. On very hot summer days the bike shifts rough due that small oven sitting right under the transmission. It gets sooo hot! First to second becomes very crunchy only when the bike is really hot. Hope this will help with the heat problem. If anything, I hope the sound will be a little more aggressive (not really louder). The stock system seems a little wimpy (just my opinion ;) ). I tried the muffler removal with the cat only for a very short (one day) time but really would like a complete system.

Really looking forward to getting this. It says it shipped today. I'm in Toronto and can't wait :D

Thanks again!

Just reporting that I received my new ZTechnik exhaust system on Friday and I am very happy. It's a little louder than I expected but that's OK (way less noise than most Harleys or some Ducatis). The bike feels much different and runs a lot nicer. There seems to be way less "surging" at lower speeds and I find the engine feels like it is breathing so much better. One big advantage (which I anticipated) is that there is no longer so much heat build-up. The heat is pushed out instead of sitting in the CAT and cooking the transmission. With the CAT no longer there, the transmission seems to be happier. Also, with the massive weight reduction, the bike handles much better than before (and that's saying alot with these bikes which handle amazing in stock form). I was amazed how big and heavy the CAT was as I was pulling it off.

(Just so you know, I am in no way affiliated with the OP and am not at all trying to sell this. I just happened to be looking for a new exhaust system at the right price and stumbled across this one. I know this isn't a buy and sell forum but I'm glad I was made aware of this. My intentions are not to bump this thread, but to review the product and my experience in case someone else may be interested.)

I couldn't find any sound clips/videos for this pipe, so I made one myself in case anyone is curious. It's not much, but you get the idea. ;)
