Tire Question

Post by BCBlueR »

Have mis-matched pair of tires that came with the bike. Front: Pilot 2. Rear: ME880. Front tire has approx 3500 miles and the rear at 700 miles. In the dry, the bike seems to handle very well, but haven't had much opportunity to ride in the wet as yet. The question - is this a good tire combo?? Your thoughts please. :-k

Front: Pilot 2. Rear: ME880
Not a setup I would choose.

If you want longevity at expense of road adhesion, then buy the matching ME880 front tire.

If you want better overall performance - and if that front Pilot Road 2 still has good tread depth with no cupping - then maybe buy a rear to match... or ditch both tires and install new matching set.
