Gear change problem.

Post by hank »

I am having trouble with the gear change on my 1150r, bike has been sat in the garage since October. I took it out for a spin yesterday and it went up through the box ok but wont go back down, I think the pivot bush has siezed. I had to return home using only third and fourth. Whats the best way to remove the clips from the ball joints? I dont want to ping them into some dark corner of the garage.

Hank.

These clips are fairly easy to remove. Swing the round part away from the joint and then it is easy to pull the whole thing up. In the 1100 section is a new post with a little picture:

The caption around the service manual and parts upon which they rest is why I relish reading this website; intellectual sarcasm tainted with technical expertise. You're Welcome!
