7 years...

Post by iowabeakster »

Can it be really that long?

While riding today, I realized that today marked 7 years of having my R1150R. I also wondered if my bike had ever ran so smoothly and nicely... what a good bike.

That means its almost been 7 years that I've been hanging out here and yapping about these bikes... what a great group of people ya'll are.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

Seven year wedding anniversary was last month. The pic of Mrs. Sweatmark and I riding our old R1150R Roadster as getaway vehicle is in the board slideshow.

Longer still the message board, from that original group and one & only west coast Bash.

I hit 10 years this month. With the exception of a clutch-spline failure in May, I have had no problems. The repair bill is still hurting......

Well, I guess I'm still a newbie celebrating my 5.5 year anniversary with my '05 R1150R. I must confess though, that through those years, I've had others. (FZ1, DR650, 1200GS, Yam XT250, KTM 450EXC).

True, Nothing has compared to the RR.

And I'm selling the '08 Yam XT250 and the "04 KTM 450 EXC as soon as I have time to list them. The other bikes were attempts to find something suitable for dirt (except for the FZ1), and now I'm done playing in dirt on two wheels. It hurts to fall down now, so I think four wheels in the dirt will be better for me.
